For my, uh, triumphant return I have a very cool video about hummingbirds for you! This is from a documentary where these hummingbirds were filmed at all different speeds to get a peek into their hidden, never seen before world. And did you ever wonder why they are called humming birds? Listen closely in the video to hear why.
This video is one of the longer ones we've featured here, at about 9:28 minutes, but it is well worth it. Still, there is plenty to see right in the first minute. This video actually shows the making of a full length one hour documentary. Both are worth seeing because of the amazing variety of these little creatures that live in super speed. There are some that look very strange indeed.
This video was uploaded to YouTube on January 9, 2010 by PBS. You can see the full length documentary here. There is also a PBS website with their own story about the video. Have fun!
