Have you ever heard of a poem about a frog, or maybe a toad? Well that's what we have for you today. This fun little poem is a very timely one for me because I was just recently thinking much of the same thing as in this poem. And in this short poem is also contained a very good message for all who venture out into wild areas.
Hopping Frog, Hop Here And Be Seen
by Christina Rossetti, 1830-1894
Hopping frog, hop here and be seen,
I'll not pelt you with stick or stone:
Your cap is laced and your coat is green;
Good bye, we'll let each other alone.
Plodding toad, plod here and be looked at,
You the finger of scorn is crooked at:
But though you're lumpish, you're harmless too;
You won't hurt me, and I won't hurt you.
Awww....sweet and true. I love frogs.
