I don't know about you, but I find that there are always a lot of leftovers after the big Thanksgiving meal. I won't just toss them... who can afford to waste all that food? And I can only eat so many turkey sandwiches. What about all the other good food that is still waiting to be eaten?
I have a recipe to take care of some of the leftovers. It's a good one and easy to make. I'll try to put it in the form of a recipe, but I really just toss it together.
The ingrediants are:
about 6 cups of broth (turkey or chicken will do)
1or 2 cups of turkey cut up in bite sized pieces
about a cup of dressing or stuffing
left over peas and carrots if you have them
Heat the broth, add the turkey and dressing and vegetables. Cook it on top of the stove (or camp fire) until it's hot. Taste it and see if it needs any seasoning but it will probably be fine without.
Now all you need is a big bowl and a spoon. If there are any biscuits or rolls left, warm them too. Now, enjoy!
Happy Thanksgiving.
