The New Seven Wonders Of Nature

IguazĂș FallsThe new seven wonders of nature have been announced based on the first count of vote results on 11/11/11. These are pending a final calculation of the voting, so it is possible that there will be some changes. The confirmed winners will be announced starting early 2012 during the Official Inauguration ceremonies. Read on for the list of new wonders.


The New 7 Wonders of Nature are:
  • South America's Amazon rainforest
  • Vietnam's Halong Bay
  • Argentina's Iguazu Falls
  • South Korea's Jeju Island
  • Indonesia's Komodo national park
  • The Philippines' Puerto Princesa Underground River
  • South Africa's Table Mountain

Nature Center Magazine will be taking a closer look at each one of these wonders of nature in the weeks to come.

    I haven't heard of a lot of these either. When I found out about this information, I thought it would be a perfect idea to give a beginning of an education for all of us.

    I would normally have given more information about each of these places, but I kept it simple so this first post can serve as an introduction. I'll still keep the information in future posts about them short and sweet, but I'll make sure to supply links for any of us who would like to learn more.

    I think these are considered to be the original wonders of nature, but the concept is a new one based on the 7 Wonders of the World. They just decided to base this one on natural features rather than man made.
