Our year is almost over. I like to reflect on what has happened in the past year. It helps me see what was wrong and what was right. Hopefully I can then make the appropriate adjustments to have more right than wrong in the next year. As I look back over the past year with you, I have so much to consider. What was good and what was bad?
Nature Center Magazine as a whole had a very trying year. Our founder and mentor, Ratty, has gone through a myriad of changes. When he was unable to put his full attention toward Nature Center Magazine, Copas and I tried to fill in. It was not the same for us or for you. Hopefully this year will be better for all of us. Then it will also be better for you.
All of the people who write posts or contribute in any way to the magazine are trying to provide the best of nature to the readers. Many thanks to all who have contributed in any way. Regular writers, guest writers who have given some wonderful insight that we would not have otherwise, photographers who have given us fantastic photos to share, and even those who leave insightful comments. All are welcome here and greatly appreciated.
My weekly blog began as a forum for blogs about nature. I love reading these blogs and I still look at every one as they post a new article.
Unfortunately I have not featured such a blog in a long time. I look through the internet searching for new ones. Many fine ones are found and I get excited. Then I see that there has not been a new post in three years or new posts are few and far between.
Encouraging everyone to stop and look at what nature has to offer around them is a passion of mine. I am disappointed in myself for not being able to find more for you.
If you look back through the archives of Nature Center Magazine you will find some excellent information about what is available on the internet. Most of the blogs featured are current and full of valuable and fun information. Please look at some of them. You will be happy you did.
So this year I am going to try to make an effort to find more of these blogs for you. If you know of any good blogs about nature I am always happy to take a look myself. If the blog is your own I am even happier.
Many of the blogs we have featured in the past have seen a rise in readers because our readers are looking for more about nature. I see you commenting back and forth often.
There will still be occasional posts about other things. They are fun for me too and I enjoy writing them. However, with a little help from our friends, I would like to show more Nature Sites of the Week. There will be a link at the end of this post. If you have a site or know of a nature site I have not featured, click on the link. It is easy to do. I will take care of the rest.
I wish all of the readers of Nature Center Magazine a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year.
